The Story about OffgridCheap:

We got an opportunity to buy a 1.25 acre lot in Southern Utah in 2020 about the time COVID started.

Then we got some "stimulus" money and we thought the best way to "stimulate" the economy was to actually spend the money, but on something useful.

We bought a refrigerated insulated "HighCube" shipping container and had it hauled out to our new lot of land.

For some time, I had been thinking about how to build a model for self-sufficient affordable low-cost housing in Utah.  Now was our opportunity.

We want to build this as a model home for others to use when they plan their own home.

It should be self-sufficient with energy and water.

We will make plans and have more information about how you can do this on your own in the future.
